MAY 6TH THROUGH 10TH

Preparations are underway to give the staff of our amazing school a week of spoiling to show them just how much we appreciate all that they do for our children all year long!

While your WSF Appreciation Committee is organizing all of the activities, we cannot do this without the help of ALL of our Wildcat Parents!  There are so many ways that you you help — donate items for baskets, help secure donations for meals, give of your time, or open up your wallets when you can’t do anything else.  All of the details are below…read on and sign-up today!

Your donated items for Appreciation Baskets are tax deductible, as are the donations made by local businesses to support the food for the week and any monetary donations made through our store to support the week.  Donations will be acknowledged on our Facebook page and in our newsletters unless we are asked to keep it anonymous.

A Week of Food

Seriously, food is the basis for the week and our staff cannot get enough of it!  We typically provide breakfast, lunch, or snacks every single day of the week.

We start with lunch, which is the most important meal of the day for hard-working staff who need a break and a boost!  Lunch for 80 people costs an average of $1,100 so you can imagine how expensive this can be!  We try to minimize that cost, thereby saving money to spend on the classrooms, the school, and your students, by soliciting donations from local area eateries.  We have one amazing parent who has volunteered for this task so far, Sally Byers, but she could use some help!  If you own a local restaurant or have a connection to one that could help us out, let us know. WSF has already secured Panera Bread.  Can you help?  Let us know HERE.

Appreciation Baskets

Last year, WSF gave out raffle tickets to every staff member, which they used to win one of about a dozen amazing appreciation baskets — it was a huge hit!  This year, we’d like to up our game and hit twenty baskets, giving our roughly 80 staff members more chances to win but we need your help.  We are putting together a list of items for some pretty amazing themed-baskets the staff is sure to love.  Wildcat Families can purchase and donate to WSF to be used in the baskets.  Here’s how you do it…

  • STEP ONE:  Sign-up for the item(s) you are donating HERE.
  • STEP TWO:  Purchase the item off our Amazon Appreciation 2024 list HERE.
  • STEP THREE:  If item is being shipped to your house, make arrangements to get the item to Vicki Beckman no later than March 31st. DO NOT DROP ITEMS AT SCHOOL.

Lend a Hand: April 29th through May 10th

We will need help the week before assembling all the amazing appreciation baskets, prepping the raffle boxes, decorating the staff lounge, and generally getting ready for the big week!  Then, the week of Staff Appreciation, we will need help picking up food and delivering it to the school, cleaning up after meals each day, and covering the Appreciation Station at school during recesses and lunches. Helping with the Appreciation Station will require Level B Volunteer Clearance in place with the district prior to signing up to help.  If you can help, please sign-up HERE.

No Time? Donate And We Will Do the Work

Hate to shop?  Not a fan of soliciting donations?  Not able to volunteer for one reason or another?  No worries!!  You can make a donation to the Appreciation Fund and WSF will use it to help with any purchases that are necessary.  This would include things like decorations, Appreciation Basket items, packaging for the Appreciation Baskets, food throughout the week, or any other little thing that comes up for Appreciation Week.  Donate through our store HERE.
