This is subject to change due to unforeseen conflicts.

PLEASE NOTE:  For this production, the ENTIRE CAST WILL BE CALLED FOR EVERY REHEARSAL.  If a student accepts a role, they will be expected to attend each and every rehearsal they are called for.  If a student has other commitments that will make attending on time and all the time, we advise not auditioning for the show.

Below is all the information you need to sign-up and prepare for auditions.  If you were unable to attend the Informational Meeting, please review THIS PACKET prior to signing up for auditions.  If there are any questions, please contact Vicki Beckman at vicki@mhwsf.org.

FIRST STEPS…DO NOT SKIP ANYTHING!

Audition sign-ups are now open!  Below are the steps for registering and what comes next.

  1. All Wicklund students in 4th grade and up or by invitation that interested in being part of the show MUST register for a Group Audition session online.
    • The sign-up CAN BE FOUND HERE. You will need to be logged in AND YOUR STUDENT MUST BE ACTIVE before you can access the sign-up. If you do not have an account, you must create one.  If you haven’t updated your account, you must do so or your student will not show as active and the forms will not present for you.
    • All students must participate in a group audition on January 5th, which requires learning one song on your own and a small piece of choreography during the audition.  Materials for the song are below.
  2. Students may choose to also register for up to two Role-Specific Audition slots.  Not everyone needs to do this — only those who want one of the larger parts and can be prepared for it should sign-up.
  3. Complete the Alice in Wonderland Jr. Potential Cast Member form NO LATER THAN JANUARY 2ND.  This form is available HERE.  You will need to be logged in AND YOUR STUDENT MUST BE ACTIVE before you can access the sign-up. If you do not have an account, you must create one.  If you haven’t updated your account, you must do so or your student will not show as active and the forms will not present for you.
  4. Opt-in to the Alice in Wonderland Auditions Group communication list HERE.  Any updates or announcements regarding auditions will be sent only to those who are on this list.
  5. Prepare for auditions and arrive no more than five minutes prior to your scheduled audition session for check-in.

AUDITION PREP MATERIALS

Group Auditions:  Everyone wishing to be in this production must participate in one Group Audition session.  To prepare for that audition, you must learn the song, Opening:  Alice’s Theme.  All necessary materials are below.  It is expected that you have the song memorized prior to the audition.  PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE SHEET MUSIC AND LEARN ALL HIGHLIGHTED LYRICS.

Role-Specific Auditions:  Anyone with a strong desire to be cast as one of the larger roles, should participate in a role-specific audition.

These are the only specific roles we are doing dedicated auditions for.  If you are interested in a role that isn't listed here and it's something other than an ensemble part, we encourage you to pick a role that is similar to the one you want and go for it!  You have the opportunity on the Alice in Wonderland Jr. Potential Cast Member form to share your hopes and dreams and concerns.  If you do not want any of the featured roles, you should not to participate in Role-Specific Auditions.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE SHEET MUSIC AND SCRIPT EXCERPTS.  LEARN ALL HIGHLIGHTED LYRICS AND LINES.
